Bali Reopen For All Travellers on February 4th 2022

Bali Will Reopen to All Countries for Tourism on February 4th, 2022

The Indonesia Government has decided to reopen international entrances in Bali for all travelers starting next Friday, February 4, 2022. The decision to allow I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport to serve international flights was conveyed by the Java-Bali PPKM Coordinator Luhut Pandjaitan yesterday.

The Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment who is also the Deputy Chair of the Covid-19 Handling Committee and National Economic Recovery (KPC PEN) explained that the opening of Bali was aimed at re-invigorating the Balinese economy, which was already quite affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.

Meanwhile, the opening of the Bali entrance is only intended for foreign travelers who are non-Indonesian migrant workers (PPLN non-PMI). “We will continue to do the opening in stages and continue,” he said.

Not only must they follow the quarantine regulations, but the entry of PPLN must also follow the applicable circulars. Luhut said that now Bali also provides two additional options for the quarantine of PPLN.

The first additional option is bubble quarantine starting in 5 hotels with a total of 447 rooms first. Then the second additional option is six live onboard ships that have been certified Cleanliness, Health, Safety, and Environment Sustainability (CHSE) by the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy.
