Continue your safari into the old crater through the truck road, where you’ll come upon massive lava flows that have buried much of the flora. There are large trees on the caldera’s edge that are home to wild monkeys. You’ll hike up a lava dune with a great view of the mountain and the black sand beach from here.
Your guide will explain how this place and its surroundings were formed over thirty million years of history. At Batur’s natural hot springs, you can relax and forget about your aches and pains. Before continuing on your journey, you will be served a buffet lunch. Follow the route to a coffee farm, where you’ll learn everything there is to know about coffee production. You will be taken back to your accommodation at the end of the tour.
